The Scenic Rim Council have some major plans for the town centre that will transform the area into an attractive and strong economic and social hub.
New $7 million Police Station
The new police station is now operating at Anna Street, which is just up the road from Spring Creek Estate. It is a $7 million state of the art facility to ensure Beaudesert has access to the best frontline services to keep the community safe.
Sergeant Murray said “With the new building comes two new support units. Highway patrol, seven police officers and another three detectives coming on January 3 2022, which will take Beaudesert police strength to approximately 37 officers” (Source).
Two New Early Learning Centres
Amaze Education Beaudesert Farmhouse has opened its doors early January 2022. This new early education centre is just a short drive from Spring Creek! It offers Chef prepared meals and snacks, a wedge-tailed eagle totem, spacious playground and a unique loyalty rewards program.
Edge Early Learning is the other new childcare & kindergarten centre is opening early 2022! Edge Early Learning caters for children from 6 weeks to school age. The centre will have indoor and outdoor learning spaces for the children to explore and learn through play. The centre will be located at 10 Telemon Street, which is just a few minutes walk from Spring Creek!
Infrastructure Plans
The scenic rim council have some major plans for the town centre. Those plans include revitalisation of the infrastructure and streetscapes while still maintaining the character of Beaudesert. Some of the infrastructure plans include
– Brisbane Street facelift with a greener avenue and new pedestrian entrance to the centre
– Communal space with amphitheatre terraced seating, events deck and stage, playspace, public artwork, landscaping and facilities
– Beaudesert Community Hub and Library
– Expansion and upgrade of car parks
– Additional car parking from Helen Street
– Major stormwater improvements
– Selwyn Street extension
